I live in Mid-Devon working amongst its ever-changing horizons, coast and countryside. My inspiration comes from observations, sketches and gathering objects from within this natural environment as well as the study of historical entomology journals.
I have always loved colour and texture and after completing my degree in Textile Design I have spent many years perfecting the art of screen printing onto mainly fabrics, paper, ceramics and lately onto enamel. My drawings are mostly done with a very fine black Rotring pen to achieve the fine detail I desire.
My extensive range of stock includes table runners and matching napkins, cushions, lampshades, cards, notebooks and mugs as well as window blinds and repeating lengths of fabric. Each piece has been hand pulled using blends of carefully mixed dyes.
I love teaching others how to print and I offer workshops in various aspects of Screenprinting. I run one-to-one classes from my studio and teach evening and weekend classes at The Double Elephant Print Workshop in Exeter. Please get in touch on my 'Contact" page if you are interesting in taking part.
I am available for commissions and you can see a few of my past projects on my 'Fabrics' page.
